Points on the field. Throw to the endzone was the play there--IF we wanted to shock this opponent AND shut their fans up.
Now we merely stalled what's coming.

So at LEAST 6 points left on the field in the 1st quarter of a game where our sole chance lay in getting every point we could.
Sigh..."Slow death" hardly an improvement on the guillotine.

True--but our failures to take care of business FEELS like "delaying the inevitable" here.

Florida needs to contain the QB. Otherwise things are okay.

Missed tackles again.
I am just gonna shut up. We cannot stop their passing game. They could easily eventually rub up the score here as the game goes on.
We had our chances to take it the other way, but I sense that is past. But they blow the wide open throw. And they MAKE their fg (albeit a chip shot--and nearly missed that).
The sad part here is that this is ANOTHER "WOULDA/SHOULDA/COULDA" game.
A combination of good luck and some big plays (both on defense) have us still in this game.
We've held the ball longer than them, and driven the field TWICE. To come away with 0 points is a disaster.

For the record, going for it on the the Tennessee 20 on the first drive was the right call. Only 3 points missed on the second drive.

Hate to say it, but it feels and LOOKS like we STILL don't have a healthy QB.

Oh, I agree...I just had a problem with the PLAY on that "4th and GO" at their 20.
All in all, being down just 3-0 at the end of the 1st is better than I expected. However, one does OT get the impression that this Gator offense can or will be able to DO the kinds of things that might take over and ultimately WIN this game from here.
We MUST find some portion of a quickstrike passing game--some way to suddenly gobble up red zone just outside the redzone.

Should we be just going for the tie, at this point?
I actually agree with going for it now, not punting--but I wish we had a better throwing-threat.
