Why Billy won't leave

Because a National Championship at Florida means a lot more than it does at Kentucky, or North Carolina, or UCLA. Those programs have so many championships that they expect it every single year. They aren't happy with 20+ win seasons. Bringing a championship to Florida means something because we don't have a ton. Win one at UCLA and it's like thanks for our 12th, but what else can you do.

much agreed. Billy D is changing Florida basketball and slowly becoming the God of it. He will go down as the greatest coach of all time in school history when he leaves. He goes to any other top school and hes just another high profile coach. this is his school, hes starting the tradition, not adding to it. thats important to coaches, they want to be remembered for their work, and at Uf he always will be

thats impossible to say. steve is an all time legend at the university, that will never change, he went to school their coached their and turned it into the powerhouse tradition you see today. to compare a football coach to a basketball coach in terms of legendary status simply cant be done in my mind

There would be no reason for Donovan to leave. He's building a powerhouse there at Florida.
