Another great performance today in Oxford, MS. These young GATORS have the ability to string together several hits, translating into runs.
The pitching has been solid and very good at times. Coach Sully uses his starter into the 6th inning and then begins matching pitchers with hitters. He does a really good job of this.
We had a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th last night and fell apart defensively, both in the field and pitching. Dang
Today we had a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th....but we turned a double play to end the game and win it.
So tomorrow, Tommy Toledo (freshman) will try and take the series. Ole Miss threw a guy today that threw 94-95mph. Bamberg went 3-3, Figueroa went 2-4, Pigott went 2-4.....so we have some bats.
