Coaches Poll released

UF is #2. Keep in mind that what the BCS sees is that we are virtually tied with OU in points. The BCS doesn't see it as "OU is #1 and UF is #2."

Coaches ballots are made public for this last vote, so we'll see who the 4 coaches are that put Texas #1.

First, I just want to say that believe it or not, Mack Brown voted UF #1. That definitely earned my respect.

Of the SEC coaches who have votes (Meyer, Spurrier, Richt, Fulmer, Miles, and Croom), all had us as #1 EXCEPT SPURRIER (He had us at #2)

Of other teams in the state of Florida:

Bowden had us at #2
Mario Cristobal (FIU) had us #1
Leavitt (USF) had us at #2
Schnellenberger (FAU, previously coached at Miami) had us #1

Mike Leach's poll was an ABSOLUTE JOKE. He had OU #1, TEXAS TECH #2, UF #3, Bama #4, and TX #5. He should never vote again in this poll.

I think Leach's ranking is reasonable. I disagree with it, but I don't think it's that far fetched.

Except for Leach and the coach of New Mexico St (who had Tech #3), no other coach had Tech higher than #6.
