Why don't Gator WRs make it in the NFL

The Gators have had some very explosive offenses in the last 15 years. The receivers have put up monster numbers and gone on to be high draft picks in the NFL. Yet why haven't the Gators had a superstar at that position?

I think we've talked about this before, but I wanted to bring it up for some of the new members.

How many NFL WR "superstars" are there? Maybe 5?

I don't think Florida is being underrepresented in the NFL WR position.

I can explain away the Spurrier WR's. SOS was all about timing. The WR were supposed to be at a certain place at a certain time. That is why Danny was so great in college and not that great in the NFL. He knew where he was supposed to throw and just was great at getting to the right spot. In other words, he did not have a gun for an arm and some of our WR's at that time were not burners.

caldwell is doing pretty good w/ the patriots this year... but is it possible to be a patriots WR and not have a good year?

maybe our WR coaches aren't that great

I think I talked about it little about. Danny, Doug, and Rex at least how 2 or 3 receivers that were first day picks. During the Leak era, well depending what CI next year and Bubba Caldwell this year, only one Chad Jackson was a first day pick. I hate to insult Leak receivers but they weren't as good as Anthony, Green, Hillard, D. Jackson, Taylor, Gaffney, R. Caldwell. Sorry to said.
