I know I know a blast from the past but why did Ray Graves who ran a pass-oriented offense hire Doug Dickey who ran the wishbone offense? Why didn't he promote someone like a Fred Pancoast who had head coaching experience prior to being the OC or Gene Ellenson that would run his system?
