"When it came to shotgun snaps, Mike Pouncey didn’t know there were so many experts in the Gator Nation and beyond. After a game one that he would rather forget against Miami (OH) --- a game in which he turned the snap into an adventure --- advice came from both qualified and unsolicited sources and it didn’t stop even when he put together a terrific game against USF Saturday.
Pouncey was feeling pretty good about himself and the game he had against USF Sunday evening when he got a grim reminder that not everyone has forgotten the Miami game.
“I heard it all,” Pouncey said Monday at Florida’s media day. “I was going through the drive-thru last night at McDonald’s and as I was leaving the guy told me, ‘man don’t mess up anymore snaps’ and I said, don’t mess up my sandwiches anymore.”
