This much is abundantly clear: Florida Gators receivers must improve

"Amid all the offensive problems Florida Gators fans are currently concerned about — the bad snaps, stagnant passing game, conservative play-calling — there is one glaring problem that seems to be flying a bit under the radar.

The Florida Gators receiving group was not good on Saturday. Not even close to good.

No. 1 receiver Deonte Thompson had three catches, 24 yards and a drop in the end zone. No. 2 receiver Carl Moore failed to record a catch, although he did have a pass go through his hands."

What? How were they supposed to show off when Addazio wasn't calling any plays to throw it to them?

So Deonte dropped the one long pass that he should have caught, that was bad. Other than that, they never really even had a chance.

How are the wide receivers supposed to do anything when every playcall is either an HB screen or an HB dive?

He didn't drop that pass. The CB hit his arm as Thompson caught the ball. Sure, Thompson still could have caught the ball, but I wouldn't call it a dropped pass.
