DAYTONA BEACH — "Thursday’s Gatorade Duels at the Daytona International Speedway will have a decidedly First Coast flavor with former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew serving as grand marshals.
The two 150-mile qualifying races will set the starting lineup for Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Tebow, a Jacksonville native, was part of Florida’s national championship teams in 2006 and 2008, and he won the Heisman Trophy in 2007. He will give the command to start engines for the first qualifying race, with Mark Martin starting on the pole."
