Stats work with you and against you.

Steve Addazio defended his use of Brantley in the option by saying we gain 5 yards per play. Well how about the stats that say we are 84th out of 120 FCS schools in offense. Look at the amount of talent we have. Are you honestly going to say it is acceptable for us to rank 84th in offensive production? Is there really 83 more talented teams ahead of us? Or do we have a problem with the coaching staff? Stats can work against you either way, but if you are going to preach one side then you need to accept the other. The fact of the matter is that our offense is performing way below expectations. Blaming youth and execution can only get you so far. Lots of teams win with youth. And lots of teams execute. If you can't get these athletes to perform better then you are a bad coach.
