Redshirt freshman running back Chris Rainey (Lakeland, Fla.) was selected as the SEC Freshman Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. The recognition comes after the Gators’ 70-19 victory over The Citadel.
Rainey had a career-best day against The Citadel, accumulating 142 yards on seven carries and one touchdown, including a 73-yard advance that was almost a touchdown
