GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida safety Dorian Munroe has had arthroscopic knee surgery and will be out at least five weeks.
Munroe, who had been vying for a starting job, had surgery to repair meniscus damage in his right knee Monday. It was the latest setback for a fifth-year senior who missed all of last season following surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the same knee.
Munroe has played in 26 games, with two starts, and has 42 tackles. He had been battling Major Wright for a starting spot. Now, the earliest Munroe is expected to be able to play would be against LSU on Oct. 10.
I was really hopping to see him early on....o well hopefully he willplay some in one of there most important games
