Meyer wants to be the Patriots of CFB

"Our goal is to be the New England Patriots of college football," coach Urban Meyer said following the team's 41-35 loss Tuesday. "I make that real clear to our players. I talk to them all the time about that."

I'm not surprised Meyer said this since he is real good friends with Coach Belichick. It's a lofty goal, and certainly one that needs to get backed up by 2-3 more national championships in the next 4 years.

Meyer wants to built a dynasty in Florida like USC expect without the occasionally choke game, lol. Well to be fair the Gators can play their best football a whole season and lost a game or two. Anyway, He wants Florida to be bigger than USC, Ohio State, etc.

If Urban wanted to build a dynasty, it would be much harder to build it with UF. Southern Cal and Ohio St. play in conferences that are weaker and have no conference title game. To have a dynasty in the SEC would be near impossible.

Very true.

The gators just need LSU to go on a downslide for the next few years and for Stafford to have a career ending injury. Then we can have a dynasty.
