Florida Football earnings

Found this over at the Orlando Sentinel. The Florida Gators are the highest earning SEC team, but only #3 on the list behind Texas and Ohio State. For Football only, we also rank #3 behind Texas and UGA.

This is from the 2007-2008 season though, so that's why we probably aren't #1. That was a down year.

Should Machen and Foley offer Coach Meyer a raise, I feel it's justified. The more our football team and other UF sports teams keep winning, the more revenue comes in - which only stands to benefit UF as a whole. There may be others who feel otherwise, but if they'd stop to think how much athletic success works to UF's advantage as far as funding other programs, they wouldn't be opposed to seeing Meyer make more money.
