Yes, you have come to the right place:
This is where you come now with your panic-stricken concerns regarding players, squads and overall play in the aftermath of last night's game to open the 2019 College Football Season vs. the Miami Hurricanes.
First off, "YES": The whole TEAM looked bad at various times. No matter how you viewed it, rationalized or squinted your eyes, it seemed damn hard to recognize a "Top Ten" Team in ANY way, shape or form among the young men dressed in Orange and Blue.
We've already gotten a pretty fair head start on what I am expecting HERE, on my purpose and intent in posting this thread here now...It's for Y'ALL to vent, elaborate and/or go on at length regarding the details of our apparent self-delusions coming INTO this season, from the point of view of what we THOUGHT we had goin' as this season got under way. I expect the same people who were there last night, those Gators I KNOW thought they had a realistic and clear-eyed impression of a young program "on the rise" entering the 2019 season with at the very LEAST the basic tools and overall POTENTIAL TO BEGIN THE FIRST OF WHAT I expected WERE LIKELY TO BE THE FIRST OF A STRING OF SEVERAL "Necessary Opportunities" to give VOICE TO ALL OF THAT AND MORE.
Or not. Maybe I'm wrong--in which case, no harm done, I figure.
But I don't think so. I know I needed it last night, at minimum. And I sure as HELL am anxious and curious to hear your frustrations, even more so your "deepest DARKESTS" NOW, after the fact, once and for all, in the ruins of "the light of day", so to speak. That Who song from "Tommy" comes to mind; "We're Not Gonna TAKE it!" whispers underneath as the chorus starts to build. But be careful--this kind of anger can grab hold and take you places you don't necessarily really wanna go. The "mob mentality" combines with "fan is short for "FANATIC"--and before you know it, a dream is in ruins.
Cooler heads must prevail, be given voice in the end. But there IS a time and place for VENTING too--and that's what I'm offering space and place for HERE, inviting y'all to take advantage in any way that you see fit and/or are inclined to USE it!
