Don't blame Urban Meyer

I don't blame Urban Meyer - how can you? He can't control what his players are doing at 3AM ... but I do think that Urban has to be held accountable to a small extent for maybe not disciplining these gus enough or something. I don't know what it's like in the locker room, but with the way all these guys are acting it seems like they don't respect Meyer's authority.

The ones who don't respect Urban's authority should either be benched or let go - the inmates may have ran the asylum under Zook, but Urban won't let the tail wag the dog.

Yep. Unfortunately, the shady characters that tend to get in trouble tend to make winning teams, with a few standout exceptions. The coaches have limited authority. The world needs to decide if we are going to call NCAA football players what they are, a farm league for the NFL, or continue the charade of the mythical student-athlete that needs occasional babysitting. Want to get a hold of discipline? Stop lying to ourselves. Call the NCAA football game a developmental league, pay the players and make them pay their college tuition out of their paycheck, and start docking that paycheck for bad behavior. Let them negotiate for higher pay for better play. There is an education in American capitalism, and adult budget management.
