Thanks! I too have been following the important “bullet points” that have been coming in seemingly daily, the growing impression that the overall QUALITY of the coming recruiting classes are steadily on the rise. Along with Mullen & Co.’s proven acuity in cherry-picking from the “transfer portal”, we are seemingly finally seeing the fruits of our efforts (and resulting success) on and OFF the field. Now, if we can just sustain that “success”, parlay it into regular consideration and eventual inclusion in the CFB playoff selection at season’s end, we will find ourselves annually competing at the level to which we all aspire.

I know it is frustrating, but Mullen's method of evaluating recruits does not equate to top-5 recruiting classes. Yes, the overall quality of recruits has increased from the McDeathThreats era, is more balanced than it was during the Muschamp era, and has better-behaved kids than it was during the Meyer era. Mullen was the master of the transfer portal since before there was a transfer portal, thanks to his sparse recruiting base in Stark Vegas from 2009-2017. I do think Mullen should bring in another recruiter, perhaps a former Gator who recently retired from the NFL--Mike and/or Maurkice Pouncey. Or back up the Brinks truck and dump it on the next big recruiter.

That sounds like a REALLY good idea—but unfortunately the first NOT how our Coach has generally DONE things...and “backing up the Brinks” may NOT be within his (direct) control (though if he were to identify and mount a strong enough argument for a particular individual, you’d THINK he’d get the support—“within reason”: By all accounts we are a healthy, “going concern”, no?).
