"Sixteen days after a vicious concussion, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow said he's almost back to normal.
Though team doctors are still checking his progress, Tebow is no longer enduring all the same physical and mental tests he endured before last week's 13-3 win over LSU. Just a couple of tuneups left, not the constant baseline testing.
"They’ve been checking up on me, just like any concussion," Tebow said. "I don’t really have to do the same thing as far as the extent of the test, but they are still checking on me doing little balance tests and eye tests.”
Tebow said he felt "great" through the entire LSU game, even after his first pummeling to the ground from an LSU defender. After missing his weekly press conference last week, Tebow was back on the podium taking questions from us hacks. He was back to rockin' his signature orange-and-blue Crocs, which he should never wear on a date.
“I was just excited and ready to go and I didn’t really think about the hits or anything," said Tebow about the game. "I was doing fine. We’d go to the sideline and coach Meyer would check up and make sure I was doing OK. I told him I was doing fine. He could see in my eyes that everything was OK too.”
