CI Autograph Signing

Went to the signing today. CI, Louis Murphy, & Jason Watkins were there. CI & Murphy were charging $25 a piece for a autograph, Watkins was not charging anything. Needless to say I got pissed off and left without any autographs. I has lost a little respect for CI & Murph because of this.

You're experience was unfortunate. It does however raise a question of propriety. This has become the standard in sports and I can't blame these guys who are fresh to the world of professional sports. When TT won the Heisman the ncaa would not allow him to sign autographs, because the frenzy it probably would have produced everywhere he went. It is the nature of the beast and that beast is fed by autograph seekers whether they be a true fan or an agent for a memorabilia seller on ebay.

Awesomeness
They are mainly charging b/c the majority of people there seeking autographs are memorabilia dealers. It's a well-known fact that these guys always outnumber regular fans at these types of events.

$25 is a lot for CI. But a few weeks ago they were charging $40 for Percy Harvin and it was also $40 for Reggie Nelson and Earl Everett a few years ago.

Can't imagine how insane it will be when Tebow has his first autograph signing.
