He was released by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but is trying for a second chance with the CFL team in Montreal: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20080608.wspt-leak08/BNStory/Technology/?page=rss&id=..wspt-leak08
Boy he really is showing that College success does not equate to Pro success.
Sadly true especially with Gator QBs. Ask Danny Wuerffel.
or Jesse Palmer, Doug Johnson, Shane Matthews, Rex Grossman, Steve Spurrier, Kerwin Bell......
Spurrier in 1972 and Grossman in 2006 had each a good season. It upsets me when people called Spurrier a bust as a player (if anything I said one year wonder).
Look at Spurrier's stats in the 1972 season.

As much as the Chicago sports media likes to lambaste Rex, stats show he's had a more successful 1st-complete season than the likes of John Elway and others in the past. Granted he has a lot more room to improve, but build a better offense around him and that will only work to his benefit. Many of them, as well as the pundits, say that the 2006 Bears team made it to the Super Bowl in spite of Rex, but had he not played a role in the success of that team they wouldn't have made it that far.
Rex's complete 2006 stats can be found here:

I hope chris leak gets the chance, if one team gives him the chance, despite his height, I seriously think he can do it. I hope he goes to Arena Football because I'll actually be able to watch him . . .if he does ever play![]()
Whoa there!! I really like Rex. But putting him in the same sentence as John Elway?:confused0054:
The reason why I made the comparison is that it took Elway some time to be successful in the NFL. If Rex sticks to his guns and makes an effort to improve he too can get to the top, and I really hope he perseveres.
