There went our chance at the win, right there; a forced fg woulda given us the chance to drive and win. Now we are gonna need another long drive just to get to overtime.

Like, a defender out there coulda turned the thing AROUND—a 99 yd pick-SIX!
But not THIS defense.
Look, we’ll be fortunate to win Eight games this season, let’s face it—and though we’re not good, we shoulda been able to win 9 or 10 with THIS offense.
Sorry, but though Grantham has a great deal of direct, gane-to-game responsibility for it, Mullen has almost as much.
First, he didn’t REPLACE Grantham after last year.
Second, his own decisions have been spotty, inconsistent.
I just don’t see a Championship future for this program, as things stand.
No matter WHAT the final disposition of our remaining schedule, we must take a hard look at our Coach, team, and potential. It ISN’T what we thought or hoped.

This is all starting to “flow together”, add UP...
...wins and losses, ups and downs, pros and cons, hits and misses, balls and strikes...(even the team with the best record in MLB got burned by it!)
I’m gonna have to give this a lotta thought. It isn’t “perfection” I look for; it is honor, determination, EFFORT—when THEY go lacking I am disatisfied, disappointed:

This was way back in the 2nd quarter—and it gets MY vote for “My favorite post by ME”, nonetheless...
Why NOT? By this point it was already clear: “Gotta find our pleasures where we CAN this season!”
Answer to THAT question (“Does the Grantham Defense have even a STOP IN them?”) of course turned out to be:
“No friggin’ WAY!!!”
Is there any doubt as to what the answer SHOULD be?
But unfortunately, there IS still a BIG one as to whether it will come to pass.
Trouble with the “QB-Whisperer” is, it may be getting to a point where NO ONE CAN HEAR HIM ANYMORE!
