In the opener, the Gators routed the Bulldogs 15-0 in five innings before posting a 4-0 win in the nightcap at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Florida (24-2, 5-0 in the SEC) collected 17 hits in the two games, while Stacey Nelson and Stephanie Brombacher combined to give up just two Georgia hits on the day. The Gators have now won the last eight meetings with the Bulldogs (15-4, 0-2).
In the second game, Brombacher (12-0) was making a strong bid at pitching the fourth perfect game in school history. However, Ashley Pauly’s double to center field ruined that. Brombacher, a sophomore, struck out eight to earn her 10th complete-game victory this season.
