Rivals.com SEC Recruiter of the Year
LANCE THOMPSON – ALABAMA
BUZZ: Alabama's recruiting class this season was built around the strength of the in-state talent and Lance Thompson was instrumental in landing that talent. Thompson had a hand in the recruitment and signing of each of the following: Rivals100 athlete Mark Barron, four-star defensive end Glenn Harbin, Rivals250 wide receiver Destin Hood, Rivals250 quarterback Star Jackson, four-star safety Robert Lester, top 20 running backs Ivan Matchett and Jermaine Preyear, five-star Burton Scott, top five outside linebacker Jerrell Harris and the nation's top wide receiver, Julio Jones.

Steve Addazio – Florida
BUZZ: While Florida did a great job in state, Addazio was able to land two of the top out-of-state players in five-star Will Hill and linebacker Brendan Beal as well as one of the biggest in-state commitments from five-star Matt Patchan. Addazio didn't have a big list as far as numbers but was crucial in some huge commitments. .
Jon Fabris – Georgia
BUZZ: While Fabris was instrumental in landing some of the top commitments from out of the home state, his biggest haul was pulling A.J. Green out of South Carolina. Along with Green, Fabris picked up commitments from Sanders Commings, four-star DeAngelo Tyson, four-star Cornelius Washington and a steal out from under Clemson's nose, previous Tiger commit A.J. Harmon.

Billy Gonzales – Florida
BUZZ: Florida's young ace recruiter was credited for three high school commits, all four-stars, in Frankie Hammond Jr., Omarius Hines and T.J. Lawrence. However his biggest score, was stealing five-star junior college prospect Carl Moore from USC and Pete Carroll.

Others to note:

Rivals.com ACC Recruiter of the Year
CLINT HURTT – MIAMI
BUZZ: Hurtt had a hand in eight commitments for the Hurricanes led by Marcus Forston. He also recruited receivers Travis Benjamin, Aldarius Johnson and Tommy Streeter and kept other programs away from defensive tackle Jeremy Lewis. Throw in linebacker Sean Spence, defensive tackle Micanor Regis and an assist on linebacker Marcus Robinson and you have a great year. Eight commitments averaging four stars equals ACC Recruiter of the Year.

Jody Allen – Florida State
BUZZ: The FSU defensive ends coach landed three players he'll coach up in Tallahassee. Stud defensive end Markus White is the No. 3 JUCO player in the country and should make an impact right away. Allen also pulled in Everett Dawkins and Toshmon Stevens at end. His fourth commitment is defensive back Travis Arnold which gives him a five-star, two four-stars and a three-star. .
Micheal Barrow – Miami
BUZZ: Barrow, a long-time NFL veteran linebacker, knows how to recruit prospects at his position. This year he brought in five-star Arthur Brown and four stars Marcus Robinson and Jordan Futch. And four-star defensive back Ramon Buchanan could also end up playing the position. Add in defensive back C.J. Holton and Barrow's commitment list is impressive.

Jimbo Fisher – Florida State
BUZZ: Fisher recruited quarterback E.J. Manuel and beat out the rest of the country for his services. He also added running back Tavares Pressley, tight end Jabaris Little and athlete Jarmon Fortson, stealing the latter from Auburn. And he and fellow coach Chuck Amato teamed up to get the gem of the FSU class, linebacker Nigel Bradham.

Others from Florida:

Mike Canales – South Florida
BUZZ: Canales recruited quarterback B.J. Daniels who will be a great fit in the Bulls offense, beating out Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and others for his services. He also signed wide receiver Daniel Bryant and defensive tackle Corey Grissom, both three star players, and came very close on wideout Tommy Streeter. .

Brent Key – UCF
BUZZ: In his first season as recruiting coordinator, Key recruited the Florida panhandle, Tallahassee and Pensacola for the Golden Knights. He helped UCF land a class that featured 11 three-star prospects, and he was personally responsible for landing three-star prospects like Vance King, Chris Martin and Steven Robinson. He beat out SEC and ACC schools for all three of those players.
