Jim Rome was blasting this on his show yesterday.
He said he's definitely a Tebow backer, but this was a ridiculous move. He said at the very least, UF should have waited until Tebow left.
I gotta say, I agree. It's just weird to immortalize something a player dd while he's still in school. They could have waited one more year to do this, IMO.

I can see if folks would think they should've waited until Tim left. Even in the article posted the other day, Tim sounded surprised and kinda reserved about it being up on the wall.
But really, the 2008 Gator team won the National Championship. And that speech was one of the motivating factors that led to it. So, it's good those words are remembered.
Just say, God forbid, we don't win a championship this year, people might not treasure those words as dearly at the end of 2009...
But it is, and was, important, and demonstrated the great leadership of the quarterback of the 2008 team!
So... that's just my humble opinion
