TE Desmond Parks

Anyone know anything about this kid?? Is he good enough that Meyer can run the 2 TE set with Hernandez that he has been wanting to run? What happened to Orson Charles anyone know?

Evaluation


Parks is a good sized tight end. He is a tall high-cut kid who looks on film to have long legs. He comes across as a fairly well-built kid, but will need to get into a college weight program and add some more bulk to his frame. He is a productive receiver. Flashes the ability to catch the ball with his hands, but will also catch into his body a bit more than you would like to see. Displays good concentration and the ability to adjust to the bad ball. Displays the ability to use his big frame to shield the defender from the ball. Displays good speed and quickly gets into his route. He is a fairly physical kid and does an adequate job of getting off of defenders into his route. He is not very elusive with the ball in his hands, but he runs hard and can be tough to drag down. Displays the tools to be a solid in-line blocker, but some questions there as he will need to be able to play low. Parks is a productive kid. He has a good frame and the ability to help move the chains and cause some match-up problems in the red-zone.
