Florida forward Devin Robinson underwent successful surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.
The 6-foot-9 Robinson will undergo a 4-6 month rehabilitation period, which should have him ready by the start of his junior season if he opts to return to UF.
It’s unclear at this point how Robinson’s injury will result in his decision whether or not to return to school. Robinson put his name in the NBA draft three weeks ago without an agent, leaving the option to come back for his junior season. Robinson has until May 25 to make his decision, and would be sidelined for all NBA predraft workouts.
Robinson posted a picture of himself on his Instagram page post surgery, writing, “surgery went well. God is good. Everything happens for a reason. Now on the road to recovery.”
Robinson started 18 of 36 games for the Gators this past season, averaging 9 points and 5.6 rebounds.
