Playing on astroturf.. how does that affect us?

Does playing on astroturf affect the Gators in anyway? Players can run a lot faster indoors then they can in natural grass, but playing on this hard stuff can lead to more injuries.

Do you think it's an advantage for the Gators, disadvantage or neither?

Huge advantage Florida Huge disadvantge Bama... See, when big guys like Alabama's players play on astroturf they tend to tear knee ligaments when they make cuts and change directions and smaller faster players like Florida's can run and cut faster on turf. It is a risk though playing on the old style turf like the Georgia Dome has... They need to change it to the new style turf for player safety

its not the hard old school astroturf. ive played on it it reacts almost exactly like grass. still advantage gators!

yes it is, hopefully it will be as crazy as it was 2 years ago ... even though we were on the outside looking in at the time at NC game... We are in the drivers seat now, I honestly think Florida will come out to strong. I keep hearing Bama gets better as the game goes on... but if we put it out of reach they cant do anything.
