Let Brantley start and see how he does. If Brantley lives up to his potential and plays well leave him in there and let Tim rest one more week. If he breaks under the pressure you have Tim to fall back on.

How ironic.

Gatorsports.com carried an artilicle about Scot Brantley, Johnny Brantley's uncle who suffered a concussion as a linebacker at UF in 1979.

Here is a link to footage of the bit hit between Brantley and Hipple in the NFL that is mentioned in the article: It's a doozy if you haven't seen it before.

Personally I think that even if Tebow is cleared for Saturday we will see both QB's.

Cheers! Enjoy the footage.

I would love to see both QBs. Would that hurt Tebow's Heisman chances? Probably. Would it improve our chances for winning? Probably. It would also be a nice reward for Brantley for being such a loyal Gator.

"Perhaps no one exemplified the maturity and team-first attitude this week than backup quarterback John Brantley, who as late as Wednesday was primed to earn his first career college start after two-plus seasons of waiting patiently behind Tim Tebow.

Meyer pulled Brantley aside after last night’s game to talk to his future QB, to see how he handled the disappointment of not playing. Brantley passed the test with flying colors.

“Absolutely no issue with Johnny, and he’s going to prepare again this week as if he’s playing,” Meyer said. “The one thing that’s happening right now with a kid like Johnny, he’s grown up, he’s matured, and he’s preparing to win a game.”
