Lucky for us Gator fans, none of the Gators at the NFL Combine face-planted like Shamarko Thomas of Syracuse. Here is how the former Gators fared:

  • DT Shariff Floyd
    • predicted 1st rounder, stock rising; possible Jacksonville Jaguar selection at #2 or Oakland Raiders at #4
    • #1 defensive tackle
    • 4.92 40-yard
    • 30-inch vertical
    • 106-inch broad jump
    • Shows good agility, but needs to work on fundamentals and strength
  • S Matt Elam
    • predicted late 1st or early 2nd rounder, stock rising; possible Cincinnati selection at #21 or New England Patriot selection at #29.
    • #2 safety
    • 4.54 40-yard (#5 among safeties)
    • 35.5-inch vertical
    • 118-inch broad jump
    • Tough, hard hitter despite being undersized. Has nose for the ball.
  • RB Mike Gillislee
    • predicted 3rd rounder, stock falling
    • 4.55 40-yard
    • 30.5-inch vertical jump
    • 119-inch broad jump
    • Decent 40-yard time, but not seen as a top running back.
  • TE Jordan Reed
    • predicted 3rd rounder or later, stock falling
    • 4.72 40-yard
    • Disappointing showing at the Combine. Showed up much smaller, weaker, and slower than any other tight end in the Combine. Needs a stellar performance at Pro Day to even make it into the 3rd round now.
  • ILB Jon Bostic
    • predicted 5th round, stock steady
    • 4.61 40-yard (#6 among LBs)
    • 32.5 inch vertical jump
    • 118-inch broad jump
    • Showed surprising agility in the 40, three-cone, and 20-yard shuttle, but not enough to rise above 5th round.
  • S Josh Evans
    • predicted 5th rounder, stock steady and possibly rising
    • 4.58 40-yard
    • 34.5-inch vertical jump
    • 123 broad jump
    • Impressed scouts with agility. #1 in three-cone and fifth-fasted 20-yard shuttle. As the leading tackler his senior year, he has shown scouts that he is better than his statistics.
Other Gators were limited due to injury.
