Gamecocks the SEC East favorites?

I'm hearing a lot of people name the SC Gamecocks the favorite to win the SEC East.

I think it's a bit too early to make that claim. If the Gators beat LSU, then they are certainly in the mix. I still believe that the SEC East winner will be 6-2, but the Gators should win.

South Carolina is a very competitive team this year. I think the outcome of the UF vs LSU game will determine who is the favorite to win it all.

At this point, I would agree that the Gamecocks are the SEC East favorites.

It will all boil down to when UF plays SC though.

If the Gastors can handle business they have as good a shot as anyone considering they haven't lost to a team in the east.
