Florida defense starting to show signs of 2008 team

GAINESVILLE — "This year's Florida Gators defense might be the school's best all-time, yet it's just starting to show glimpses of what made the 2008 team so great.

Four interceptions sparked Florida's 41-17 win last week against Georgia in a performance that could make the offense more comfortable through the stretch run.

After all, a driving force behind last season's school-record 611 points was the ability of the defense and special teams to create turnovers at will.'

Funny I thought the Defense has been there since the second game (I didn't their performance against CSU even the starters only played in the first quarter). If you looked at the games, 20 points was the highest total allowed. Also noted that Miss St. two TDs were INT returns. Also like to see Charlie Strong get some head coaching job offers.

I'm selfish. I don't want Charlie Strong to leave. Urban knows offense, but we can't establish a dynasty without defense.

i don't want Strong to leave either. but I know he deserves a HC job.. I just wish florida would throw some more money at him to entice him to stay, if an opportunity ever comes up.

Most people would take the head coach position than stay as an assistant like Dan Mullen. I take a HC job. Though don't know what schools would be firing their coaches.
