Four-star 2018 wing prospect Ryan Boyce announced on his Twitter account Monday that he plans to take an official visit to Florida the weekend of Oct. 14.
At 6-foot-3 and 189 pounds, Boyce, from Germantown, Tenn., is rated as the 83rd best prospect in the country in ESPN.com’s Class of 2018 rankings.
In its scouting report of Boyce, ESPN.com wrote: “His build is slight but his athletic ability and length are what attracts attention. He is most comfortable right now using that athleticism in the open floor to score his points. When he beats the defense he elevates and takes off with fast twitch fibers to finish at the rim.”
Boyce will visit during the weekend of UF’s home football game with Texas A&M. He recently narrowed down his recruitment to three schools — Florida, Memphis and SMU.
Florida has a visit lined up with Class of 2018 four-star point guard prospect Elijah Weaver on the weekend of Sept. 16, when the Gators host Tennessee in football.
