has anyone seen the ESPN BCS Breakdown. really have to wonder about afew things.

all three hosts agreed that Tebow was the most important player in the game and possibly the country. which also had them questioning why then... tebow did not win the heisman

all three thought UF would win

and Eddie George apparently thinks tebow does not have a great arm, is not accurate, and does not make the big/explosive plays. (paraphrasing not a direct quote)

perhaps Eddie is still bitter from the beat down the gators handed OSU. especially after all the low class OSU gifts he tried to give emmit smith, but he sure shut up by half time.

Eddie may have been talking from a "NFL" perspective. Just because a QB is great in college doesnt mean that he can cut it in the NFL. I am not one of the people that think that a player must be great in the NFL to make himself a 'great college player'. By NFL standards Tebow does not have good accuracy, arm strength or release.

I didnt see the comments that Eddie George made, just saying....

Danny Wuerffel was an awesome college quarterback and a Heisman winner. Look at his success in the NFL. Before draft day, all the scouts complained about his delivery, defense reading ability and slow release. He was said to have great accuracy suitable for a short to medium passing game, like a West Coast Offense.

Fast forward to Tim Tebow. He will likely go down in NCAA history as a great college quarterback and Heisman winner. Scouts complain about his accuracy and defense reading ability. I have not heard of any knocks against his arm strength, but some say his deep ball would look stronger with a tighter spiral. His release is more like a baseball release than a football release, which is why it does not have a tight spiral or quick release. These are all knocks against him that will keep him out of the first round of the draft, regardless of the number of Heismans and NCAA championships. Then again, some of the best quarterbacks were drafted in later rounds.

Right now, many scouts see Tebow as a tight end or raw-talent quarterback. That being said, he still has time to impress the scouts and improve his draftability.

Tebow has the arm strength, but I think it's his accuracy on the deep ball that suffers.

And Tebow doesn't make "big/explosive plays?" Was the Ole Miss game only game Eddie George saw UF play?
