Well, consider this evidence... Two weeks ago, our local Gator Club's Swamp Master's wife created a bunch of products for club members to buy, including clocks, T shirts, coffee mugs, etc. A chunk of the proceeds go to a scholarship fund that we participate in. All the items show the club logo.
Well, the day after we announced the store was open in the club email newsletter, the vendor took down all of our products and informed us that we were in violation for using an unauthorized NFL team logo!!!
Now, consider that ESPN has purchased the rights to all SEC games that CBS does not pick up...
(p.s. We got it all straigtened out with the vendor by forwarding them a copy of our charter from the Alumni Association. If anyone is interested in doing the same thing with their local Gator club, the company is CafePress. The products look Great. BUT, you better have authorization or don't even think about using the Gator Head.)
