#99 Sammy Green, from Bradenton, Florida, played linebacker under Doug Dickey from 1972 to 1975. He is remembered for his UF single-season record of 202 tackles and finished third all time with 475 tackles. Sammy is also remembered for his slobber-knocker hit and fumble recovery on Auburn tailback Sullivan Walker, which gave the Gators their first ever victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
