#57 Kevin Louis Carter of Miami, Florida played defensive end under Steve Spurrier from 1991 to 1994. His accolades as a terror on the defensive line are numerous: Consensus All-American (1994), 2X 1st-team All-SEC (1993, 1994), and 3X SEC champion. He was a finalist for the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year and the Lombard Award. He was president of the UF chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He finished his career with 42.5 TFL and 21.5 sacks, which is still seventh and fifth in school history.

He was a first round NFL draft pick for the St. Louis Rams, where he was named the team's Rookie of the Year in 1995 and team MVP in 1998. His best season was in 1999, when he had the highest number of QB sacks (17) since former Gator and Ram, Jack Youngblood, tallied 18 sacks in 1979. His stellar 1999 season landed him his only All-Pro nomination and the first of his two Pro Bowls. Kevin was a key member of the Rams team that defeated the Tennessee Titans to win Super Bowl XXXIV. In 2001, he was traded to the team that lost that Super Bowl, where he earned his second Pro Bowl in 2002 and where he played until 2004. Kevin rounded out his career with the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring from football in 2008. He finished his NFL career with 442 tackles and 104.5 sacks.

Kevin is active in the community with his Kevin Carter Foundation, as well as the Kevin Carter Football Endowment at his alma mater. He is a member of the University of Florida Athletic Association Hall of Fame, St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame, and Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame.
