The 2025-2026 Florida Gators are less than 100 days away from taking the field. This early in the preseason the Gators are No. 14 in the nation in trend of SP+ ratings.
The Gators will play the following:
No. 4 Georgia
No. 5 Texas
No. 9 LSU
No. 11 Ole Miss
No. 12 Miami
No. 13 Tennessee
No. 15 Texas A&M
Yes--tough slate again:
We will have to face a LOT of tough opponents
...However, for the first time in what seems an AGE, we come into that schedule (at least as summer begins) with the general matching feeling of, "Well' THEY have to play US!"
I mean it: As I have noted elsewhere (eg. in my comments upon receiving and delving into the 2025 "Read & React" Gator mag), given the continued health and coalescing TALENT around DJ Lagway on offense, if our defense can likewise stay healthy, and that unit can manage even flirting with the top 25 or so in CFB ranking as the season goes on, we will almost certainly (FINALLY) make the CFB Playoff the coming season--and be dangerous when we get there!
We are, once more, a force to be reckoned with in the SEC; it is time we again RELISH "playing with the big boys". It is a,part of our STRENGTH, not a weakness!
