Will Urban Meyer abandon the spread-option once Tim Tebow leaves?

Meyer always said that he fits the offense to the players. I look for it to be more along the lines of when Leak was the Q.B. He (Meyer) won't get away from the spread, we'll see different schemes when Brantley takes the helm. I look for more downfield passes.

I doubt Meyer's will abandon the spread offense completely that's been his bread and butter his whole career and won him two titles and millions of years. Granted wasn't produced players who succeed in the NFL in any of his teams though players in Spurrier's offensive (with the expection of Hillard and Taylor) same results. I think I agree with J-Ville, I think when Brantley takes over it will be the same offense that Leak had in 2006. I think if Newton didn't go bonehead, the spread would have stayed on after Tebow.

I think with Brantley's skill set, Meyer will have to tone down the spread just a bit. Brantley is a precision passer with even less mobility than Leak had. I'll be excited to see what Meyer and his coaching staff can come up with.

Until then, I'm gonna soak in Tebow's last season as much as I can.
