LaGrow is part of the 18-member team named by U.S. Lacrosse following last weekend's U.S. Lacrosse Champion Challenge in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The 2009 World Cup will be held June 17-27 in Prague, Czech Republic.
LaGrow, who graduated from North Carolina in 2008, finished her collegiate career recording 80 goals and 15 assists for 95 points. As a senior, LaGrow scored 24 goals and was named to the All-South Regional second-team for the second time in her career. LaGrow, who was chosen as a midfielder to the U.S. World Cup team, was also named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference that year.
LaGrow joined the Gator coaching staff in August of 2008.
UF's other assistant coach, Jenny Ulehla, is an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team. She will be with the 2009 Women’s World Cup next June in Prague. She and UF Head Coach Amanda O'Leary were part of the 1993 U.S. team that won the World Cup. O'Leary was also part of U.S.'s 1989 World Cup championship team.
Florida begins play in the spring of 2010.
