He’s held elite, one-name moniker status since he was a freshman at Ocala Trinity Catholic High School. So if you want to get the attention of the all-state safety, stick with “Juice.”
Everybody else does.
“I actually got that (nickname) from a Gator,” Chris Johnson explained. “Coach (Ricky) Nattiel — my first (high school) head coach — gave it to me when I got called up to varsity as a freshman, which was a big honor. He said I reminded him of O.J. Simpson.”
Johnson, sporting a new Gator cap, pauses before finishing the thought.
“On the field,” he said, “not off the field.”
