Tebow! Tebow! Tebow! After a paltry first half of offensive output, Timmy rallies the Broncos from behind for the win and a share of the AFC West lead. Tebow finished 10 of 15 for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 4 rushing attempts for 13 yards, and a 2-point conversion run. As of this writing, his 149.3 passer rating is tops amongst NFL quarterbacks this week. His 66.6% completion rate in week 13 is higher than his season average completion percentage of 45.5%. Several of his clean passes were dropped, including the potential go-ahead touchdown pass at the end of the game. Tim's 5th game winning drive in the 4th quarter or overtime in 10 games is tied for most by any QB in NFL history!
On the season, Tebow is 65 for 143 (45.5%) for 852 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 1 interception. His season passer rating of 80.5 ranks him 20th in the league, on par with Cam Newton, Mark Sanchez, Philip Rivers, and Michael Vick. His 5.96 yards per attempt passing puts him on par with Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy. What separates Tim Tebow (6-1) from his peers, Bradford (1-8) and McCoy (4-7) is the number of wins. One could also argue that Tebow has more style points. More importantly, Tebow has his team in control of its own destiny.
Next week, Tim Tebow and the Broncos host the Chicago Bears at Mile High without the Bears RB Matt Forte. The following week they host the powerful New England Patriots, followed by an away game to Buffalo, and ending with one last home stand against Kansas City to wrap up the season.
