Here are the players left Florida, but could be filling in key positions on the roster today:
- Jacoby Brissett- Sitting out a season at NCSt. Probably would have led Florida to wins over UGA and USCe, maybe Vanderbilt. Would have been a better backup to Jeff Driskel.
- Gerald Christian- This Louisville TE has 400 more yards and 4 more TDs than all of our TEs combined! Would have been a starter.
- Jessamen Dunker- This OL at Tennessee State would have helped out lot this year. Would have been a starter.
- Matt Patchan- ACC OL of the week at Boston College. When healthy, we miss this guy. If healthy, would have been a starter.
- Chris Dunkley- This explosive receiver at USF is rarely targeted (except by campus police), but averages 23 YPC when he is. If he stayed out of trouble, he could have been an explosive receiver.
- AC Leonard- This Tennessee State TE was an FCS All American last year! As a TE he has more yards than any of our receivers. We miss this guy. Would have been a starter.
- Josh Shaw- This USC DB has been doing well despite shuffling from corner to safety. He makes key plays and is well liked. We miss this guy. Might have been a starter.
- Lynden Trail - This Norfolk State LB was All-MEAC last year. He may have been a starter or situational player.
- Robert Clark- This Louisville WR is struggling. Probably would not be a factor.
- Javares McRoy - This Texas Tech WR has been nothing but trouble for the Red Raiders. Probably would not be a factor.
- Mike Blakely - This RB transferred to Auburn, then left for USF. Probably would not be a factor.
- Mike McFarland - This USF TE has been pretty quiet on his new team. Probably would not be a factor.
- Chris Martin - Chris left Florida in 2011 after marijuana issues. He currently is at two-year school City College of San Francisco and is looking to transfer to a four-year school to finish his last two years of eligibility after committing to Notre Dame, California, and Florida.
- Desmond Parks - This TE has simply disappeared from football apparently.
- Dee Finley - This DB transferred from Florida in 2011 to North Alabama, then transferred again to Tuskegee in 2013. It is uncertain how much the Gators could have used him.
