should college football players be paid?

do you think college football players should be paid for their performance? There's no denying they bring in millions of dollars in revenue to the school every year, but they don't see a cut of any of it.

Do you think it would ever come to the point where colleges have to pay their players?

In my opinion, they should not be paid. Why only start paying college football players, why not pay every sport player then who also practices just as hard and puts out just as much effort for the university? Sure, their sports don't bring in the money like football, but they still work as hard. They are given a free education plus I'm pretty sure they get board and all free and a stipend. To me, this is their compensation. I just don't see why they should have to be paid, if that is the case why not start paying high school players? And I'm sure some Pop Warner leagues probably come out ahead, should they pay a portion of this to the players? They aren't professional athletes and therefore should not be paid in my opinion.

They are called student athletes. Student comes before athlete. They are paid in the forms of scholarships, and I don't think they deserve anything extra. They are already allowed to work cush jobs, get all their food, tuition, board, travel, clothing all paid for. They have it so much better than the average student with 30k in student loans.
