"University of Florida head football coach Urban Meyer paid tribute Wednesday to a longtime Gainesville police officer who recently died of cancer, saying that people like him were the reason that Meyer and his family have committed to staying here.
"We've made a decision in our lives that we'd like to stay in Gainesville. This is our home," Meyer said.
