Florida coach Urban Meyer named his starting offensive line Monday after the Gators' morning session. Florida practiced twice.
Pencil in Jason Watkins at left tackle. Watkins, a redshirt junior, continues to impress coaches during fall training camp. The addition of Watkins to the offensive line pushes Carlton Medder to right guard. Medder started all 14 games during the 2006 season at right tackle.
Drew Miller, who played right guard in 2006, is now the Gators' first-team center. Phil Trautwein, who started 14 games at left tackle last season, moved to right tackle and will now be charged with protecting the blindside of left-handed quarterback Tim Tebow. Jim Tartt will remain at left guard.
Meyer is confident about his starting offensive line, but the coach is worried about the progress of his second-team unit. ''It's probably the weakness of our team right now,'' Meyer said.
