Kicker is UF's 10th verbal

"Florida's recruiting success continued Tuesday as the Gators added their 10th verbal commitment of the 2011 season and sixth in the month of June.

The latest pledge for Florida came from Brownsburg, Ind., kicker Kyle Christy, who earned a scholarship after camping at Florida in mid-June.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound kicker recently visited 10 schools and camps and chose Florida over LSU, which was the only other school to offer a scholarship."

Just announced yesterday... Kyle was named to the "TOP 50 Indiana All-State Football Team" by the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA). In Indiana, the IFCA is the All-State Team you want to be on. The coaches vote on the "All-State" players in each class, then pick the top 50 players from those selections. There is also a "Mr. Football" at each position... Would anyone be really shocked if Kyle wins that as well? Congrats son!

Previously, Kyle was named to the AP 5A All-State team as punter.

Kyle will be the punter for the East squad in the Offense-Defense All-Star Bowl. That game will be played 12/31/10 @4:00PM Eastern in Myrtle Beach, SC. It will also be broadcast live on the VERSUS network.
