The University of Florida football team will formally begin practices to prepare for the 2007 season on August 5th.
The Gators, the defending national champion, open their season with a home game against Western Kentucky on September 1. Florida begins SEC play two weeks later with a home game against Tennessee.
Florida will enter the season with a very inexperienced defense with only two starters returning. Offensively, Florida could be very potent with an offensive line that returns all but one starter and experienced wide receivers like Andre Caldwell and Percy Harvin.
