The University of Florida men's basketball team used its final exhibition tuneup game to play a lot of people and a lot of different combinations on its way to a 104-53 drubbing of Webber International Monday night in Gainesville.
Florida trailed early 15-8 because of a lack of defense as the Warriors got some early easy shots. But after Florida tied the game at 15, it was no contest.
Freshman guard Kenny Boynton led the way for Florida with 25 points, one of several players to score in double figures in the game for the Gators. Fellow guard Erving Walker just missed a double-double as he had 9 assists to go with 12 points and forward Chandler Parsons off the bench also narrowly missed a double-double with 9 rebounds and 12 points.
Florida will open its regular season this Sunday with a game against Stetson in Gainesville.
