
Chris Faulkner played for the Gators from 1979 to 1982, and was one of the top tight ends in Gator history. He was an honorable mention All-American and first-team All-SEC selection during his Florida career. He still shares the Gator record for most catches in a game by a tight end (nine). He finished his college career with 71 receptions for 752 yards and eight touchdowns, despite splitting time with Mike Mularkey. He was drafted in the 4th round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, and he played several positions on various teams until 1986.
