is that were going to be stuck with this brantley/addazio offense next year too. although its pretty much the entire offense thats in disarray. i just hope urban doesnt let this happen 2 years in a row.
man i hope they can win this game, but nothing ive seen this year makes me feel very confident. FSU rushes the passer very well and brantley pretty much waits for the pass rush when he sees it coming towards him. PLEASE show up offense!! i dont think thats even possible but i can hope.
there is no way urban meyer deserves to be fired. yes this year has been bad but in 5 seasons hes won 2 national titles, 2 sec titles, had a heisman winner, and a 13-1 season with a sugar bowl win. if they did fire him who would they get thats better? im not opposed to making some other coaching...
i think the defense held their own for how much they were on the field. they gave up a ton of rushing yards but they kept them in the game for a long time. I also dont think this defense is as talented as some of the others have been. losing haden, spikes and dunlap among others are pretty big...
anything that can be said has been said over and over again by now and its all obvious so i wont waste my time typing anymore. time to start thinking about next year.
I was just watching 1st and 10 and skip bayless and robert griffin both said florida doesnt look that athletic on defense. they both picked them to win today. do you guys agree with their comments about the defense?
i wouldve rather had him sit out completely for a couple games and try to get 100% healthy by now. with someone like him who relies on speed so much being less than 100% makes a huge difference.
i would never question harvin's toughness. he played in the national championship game with a hairline fracture in his ankle. childress has totally lost the locker room. i'd be shocked if he was still around after the season.
it is only vanderbilt but he obviously needs more playing time. he provides a run/pass threat and throws a nice catchable ball. that deep throw he made was a very good throw and he hits all of the receivers in stride for the most part. burton is just a run threat and brantley is a pass threat...
im not saying that the offense has arrived by any means, but they did have 450 yards. thats pretty good. they'll have to keep improving but yesterday was a step in the right direction.
the defense needs to improve but im not going to touch on that in this post. the offense looked the best it has all year on saturday. there were still mistakes that need to be corrected, such as penalties and turnovers, but here are some of the things i noticed.
-rainey is much more effective...
